The Problem! I know the problems in America are vast and to even attempt to boil them down into a short brochure style written work is problematic, but that is the goal. I have a very limited amount of time to try to get you to follow through on reading this entire document in the hope that we can better the small community we live in. You’re not represented anymore. Yes, there are elections and yes, you pull a level or put a mark on a piece of paper to say I want this guy or that lady, but how did those people even get to be one of the choices anyway? Well they were part of a party and here in America, the state of Michigan to be more specific and the city of Wyoming as well as Byron Township to be exact need to be in a party to have a shot at being a Representative. So inherently right from the start they owe some entity (other then the people of the District itself) their allegiance. Without the party putting them on the ballot again in two years it is unlikely that they will have the ability to have their name put forward again. Who are thay likely to serve? The people that voted them in or the party without which the people cannot vote for them anyway? You know it is true people walk into the booth now and vote R or D for the most part. The names are most times meaningless. You don’t like either choice, but there are only two people running so you must pick.
