What if government did what you wanted?

All right not all the time mind you because your needs will not always be in line with the needs of others in your community, but what if government was running on a set of standards and would allow for the most amount of people to have their needs met without violating the rights of those who serve the community most? Would you be happy? By that I do not mean would you feel better from time to time. I mean deep down to the core of your soul would you be happy?
